This gal is hitting the road! Figuratively, that is.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Alberta Culture Days at Grande Prairie Public Library last Saturday.  It was wonderful to visit and to hear so many stories from people who visited my booth.

I’ll be in northern Alberta for the next two weeks — Fort Vermillion, Buffalo Head Prairie and LaCrete next week. I’m home for a day to do laundry and repack before heading to Fort Mac (This sounds like the start of a limerick.) All of this is part of the very splendid Taleblazers program organized by the Young Alberta Book Society (YABS).

I’ll be back in GP to regroup again before heading to Edmonton for a Friday night presentation for the Canadian Authors’ Association. An adult writing workshop follows on Saturday, October 28.

Don’t anyone phone me on October 30; I’ll be sleeping.
